Project Details

This project is an expansion of the Tipton Waterworks and Rapids section of DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. The new section, Laguna Splash, features a lazy river and a wave pool. Other additions include food vendors, restrooms, and a large Italian fountain.

Project Uniqueness/Challenges:

In order to blend together the stormwater design, the waterpark had to consider space as a limited factor; therefore, dual purpose areas were necessary. Stormwater management facilities were designed in slight depressions and sodded which allows park guests to sunbathe on lounge chairs.
Due to the expansion of the water park, there is a maze of utilities that serve various facilities and attractions throughout the waterpark, amusement park, and DelGrosso Foods which is located directly beside Laguna Splash.
Due to manufacturing operations at DelGrosso Foods, interruption of service had to be minimal.
